Text message program
Businesses that use PorchLite send short, transactional text messages to their own
customers — the kind you'd expect from a business you already booked with.
How customers opt in
Customers give consent to receive texts in one of these ways. Every path is explicit and optional —
consent is never required to buy anything:
- On this web form (below): a customer enters their mobile number and checks a consent box
that is unchecked by default.
- At the time of booking, in person or by phone, a customer provides their mobile number and
is told they'll receive appointment reminders and related updates by text.
- Through the business's PorchLite chat assistant, a customer volunteers their mobile number
and confirms they'd like text updates before any message is sent.
