2. How we use information

We use information to operate the Service, generate Assistant responses, capture and deliver leads to you, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.

3. AI processing and third parties

To generate answers, chat content is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (the makers of Claude), for processing. We also rely on service providers for hosting and payments. These providers process data only to provide their services to us:

• Anthropic — AI model that generates Assistant responses.
• Hosting provider — runs the Service and stores data.
• Payment provider (e.g., Lemon Squeezy) — processes subscription payments.

4. Roles (for business customers)

When you use PorchLite to run an Assistant for your business, you are the "controller" of the chat data and leads collected from your visitors, and PorchLite acts as your "processor," handling that data on your behalf to provide the Service.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You can ask us to delete your data; we will do so within a reasonable period, subject to legal obligations.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted logins. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Cookies

We use a single signed session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

11. SMS & text messaging

Businesses that use PorchLite may send transactional text messages — such as appointment reminders, invoice and quote follow-ups, and review requests — to customers who have provided their mobile number and consented to receive texts (at the time of booking, through a web form, or in person).

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers collected for text messaging are used only to send the messages the customer consented to receive; they are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for those parties' own marketing.
